Year in Review 2020 London Organic

A very challenging year for the whole world, kicked off for London Organic with preparations for our fashion event at the National Liberal Club on 14th February 2020, for the opening night of London Fashion Week.

Brands that were showcased at the event included Vols & Original, Jane Garry, Paul Magen Jewellery, Embellished Truth, SB Shop, Caroline London, Contessina, Love Your Look and Wolinska London. Once again, we were very proud to have been represented by a range of diversity in our models that is representative of London Society but not so often visible on the London catwalk.

Very soon after our event, the UK entered into a national lockdown and the fashion events we had planned for the rest of the year were all postponed or cancelled.

Inclusivity and celebrating inner beauty are core values for London Organic. Since 2015, we had been developing a range of Organic, Natural Skincare with a team of Natural Health experts. They enhance our own beauty by using only pure natural ingredients that help to improve the elasticity of our skin, eliminate toxins, provide hydration, nourish the skin with vitamins and nutrients whilst at the same time not using any parabens, preservatives, artificial fragrances that can add to the toxic load of the skin. This leads to enhancing our beauty by having skin that is more healthy and youthful-looking.

The natural beauty treatments were made in small batches and had been made available for our models and for guests at our events. We had run a pop-up shop on the Kings Road in Chelsea in 2017 and the beauty products outsold all the fashion brands put together.

We used the period of the lockdown to develop ways to make the Beauty Products more available to the public. We were in touch with Amazon and we put some products on the "handmade"/ "Made In UK" section where Amazon help to highlight handmade local production. We also put some products on Etsy and developed our own Beauty website.

Later on, Amazon gave London Organic "Brand" status for us to develop our own Brand pages on their platform.

In the summer, we joined Samanta Bullock and several of the models who featured in our event for London Fashion Week Event to take part in the I'mPerfection campaign to help increase inclusivity in the Fashion & Beauty industries which was featured on the BBC News and other media outlets.

We were very pleased to have featured in a Competition with Marie Claire magazine in September where some of their readers won the chance to have some of our products.

In October, we were delighted to be involved in a similar Competition with Cosmopolitan Magazine.

We developed a range of Frankincense and Myrrh products for Christmas. The Frankincense and Myrrh Bath Salts were part of a box sent out by Self Care Sundays.

In such a year, a positive mind-set is so valuable. Taking care of our Mental Health is so important as well as taking the time to take care of ourselves with nurturing, healthy choices. That is why we teamed up with internationally-renowned psychologist Mamta Saha to offer our customers free bags of affirmation cards.

We are very excited for 2021, when we will be increasing our production so we will have much more stock available; we will be available in more places, with next-day and same-day delivery. We are also expanding our range further with more exciting, healthy, nurturing beauty care - so watch this space!

All the best for 2021, from everyone at London Organic.
